Food affects all aspect of how you feel, and making decisions about what to eat can be very difficult.  If you are inspired by your wonderful families, love of life and feeling good; if you are challenged by picky eaters, student budgets, time constraints and so much more, you have come to the right place.  Our comprehensive, fun and interactive support system will help you learn about and maintain healthy eating habits for you, your friends, and family.

You have heard this a million times and it is true.  Eating breakfast is one simple habit will help your whole day’s performance, eating habits, and cravings.  You need to eat a wholesome breakfast and so do your kids.  To show how much Bundles of Energy cares about this issue we have teamed up with Breakfast For Learning this month.

Together with a network of over 30,000 volunteers, Breakfast for Learning has helped start and sustain over 2,200 nutrition programs, serving millions of healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks to more than 222,350* students across the country.

When a child is hungry, it’s hard to learn.   This month a portion of all of our workshop profits will go to Breakfast for Learning to help support their efforts.  Register or book to host a workshop today!  Together, we can help ensure children have the nutrition they need to grow and thrive with a world of opportunity in front of them.

Food Shopping Tips

What's in season?

There are many different vegetables that are in season here in Alberta. Asparagus, beets, green peppers, spinach, lettuce, and carrots can all be picked up fresh at local farmer’s markets around town. And don’t forget to grab those delicious cheeries; they too are in season and make for a sweet treat on a warm summer’s day.

Healthy Hints

Fiber is found in the skins of fruits and vegetables and in the covering of grains. Good sources of fiber are apples, psyllium, flax, and bran. To increase your fiber intake try plain oatmeal in the morning and top with sliced apples. Eat whole grain pasta for dinner, and buy 100% whole grain breads!
